Granting Badges – The Offer and Lesson Settings

Each badge block includes two settings: “Offer” and “Lesson.”
The Offer setting is required, and the badge will only be granted to students who “own” the offer.
The Lesson setting is optional and may be left blank. Adding a lesson’s Title or ID ensures that the “Badge-Granted Popup” will appear immediately once the lesson’s video is completed or when the student clicks the “Lesson Completed” button.
When the Lesson setting is left blank, the “Badge-Granted Popup” will only appear after the next lesson page has loaded, and the audio effect will not play.

For example, let's say the last lesson in your first module is called “Completing Your First Lorem,” and you want to grant a badge when this lesson is completed.

First, you’ll need to set up a ghost offer: In your Kajabi account, go to Sales -> Offers, and create a new free offer. Let’s name it “First Lorem Badge.”

In your template, set the “Offer” setting in your badge block to “First Lorem Badge.”

Next, open the “Completing Your First Lorem” lesson for editing (where you normally set the lesson’s title and video).
Scroll down, click “Add Automation,” select “Grant an Offer,” and then select “First Lorem Badge.”

Congratulations! You’ve set up your first badge.
When a student completes the “Completing Your First Lorem” lesson, they will be granted the “First Lorem Badge.”
Once the next lesson page loads, they’ll be prompted with the “Badge-Granted Popup,” though it won’t include the sound effect.

Optionally, you can add the lesson’s title “Completing Your First Lorem” (or its ID) to the Badge Block Lesson setting. This will ensure the “Badge-Granted Popup” appears as soon as the video playback is completed, with the audio effect creating a more dramatic and engaging experience.

Badges can also be granted after completing a quiz with a passing score, completing an assessment, submitting a form, registering for an event, or opening an email.
